1941 FORD GP
SN 15195, original hood #W-2030074. Date of Delivery: 22 September 41. Older restoration. Was awarded ‘Best of Class’ Prototype’ and ‘First Place’ Prototype at the 1982 MVCC Convention in Kansas City. It’s currently in the National Automotive & Truck Museum of the United States in Auburn, IN (close to Fort Wayne) where it’s been for the past ten years. At the height of steel shortages in WWII CCKW bodies were made of hardwood. Very few wood bodies have survived the ravages of time. This 6x6 GMC was delivered April, 1943.
